Knox County Scenic Drive Woodland View Farm

Woodland View Farm

New to the drive in 2006, Woodland View Farm is a centennial grain and livestock farm that became a premium boarding facility in 2002.

Horses by Kathy Owen The farm boasts 360 rolling acres of trails with creek crossings, pastures, woods, native prairie land, wetlands and ponds. Students and boarders enjoy riding on the trails and often see a variety of wildlife native to Illinois, including hawks, herons, wild turkey, beavers, raccoons, fox, coyotes, and white tail deer.

The timber frame main stable has a light, airy feeling, cleaned out daily. The horses are able to socialize with each other.

Main Horse Stable

Spend a little time with Fonnie, the miniture Jersey milk cow. Then hang out with the other petting zoo animals. Or perhaps you might want to take a ride on Hannah, Doug or Pearl in our indoor riding arena. Horse enthusiatests can watch the horse shows in the outdoor arena. Rest your feet and take a majestic wagon ride to enjoy the beautiful fall colors of Knox County over-looking a restored wetlands project. Listen to the sounds of the past as Native Americans perform their ritual songs and dances. Hungry? Enjoy a healthy lunch by Chez Willy’s. Before leaving, have fun navigating through the corn maze to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin.
